One Of A Kind: World One Tower

Date: 24 Nov, 2018

What do you do when the project encompasses the following CHALLENGES?

  • 442 meters high
  • 117 floors
  • 300+ apartments
  • 7.5 lakh m2 of floor area

SOLUTION:

The principal architects of Lodha World One wanted concrete which would meet all the above challenges. After much deliberations, Nuvoco was selected as the preferred concrete partner and Agile as the solution.

Agile – the Value Added Product from Nuvoco is a free-flowing, self-compacting concrete vis-à-vis high quality and the solution that fit the bill perfectly.

It is a concrete that provides solutions and opportunities for design and placement. A fluid concrete that flows freely around congested reinforcement. Agile provides excellent surface finish, consistency and aesthetic qualities as per the architect’s need.

With its uniquely curvilinear shape, World Tower forms a stunning high-rise construction of complex configuration made from glass and steel. Situated in Mumbai which is a coastal place the velocity of wind is higher and with a height of 442 meters from the ground level wind was a major factor that had to be taken into consideration while deciding the concrete.

Nuvoco suggested High Strength concrete of M95 grade which can withstand the velocity of wind at such heights. Altogether 45000 m3 of High Strength concrete was supplied for the core walls. Till date approximately 8 lakh m3 of concrete has been supplied, this included various types of concrete apart from Agile. The entire concrete for both the towers – World View and World Crest, has been supplied by Nuvoco.
