DGMF ‘Future Voice of Bengal’
1500+ Entries. 500 Shortlisted. 23 Finalists. 3 Winners.
As part of brand activation, Duraguard Microfiber (DGMF) launched a grand campaign to discover the ‘Future Voice of Bengal’.
Our talent hunt began on social media, by asking singers from all over Bengal to send us entries showing off their singing talents. Participants were requested to sing a song, record it in a video format send it to us through either Facebook or Whatsapp. A 360 degree promotion was done in print, FM and social media among others. The campaign received 1.3 million impressions on social media and reached more than 820,000 people.
We initially set out to look for 500 participants to shortlist singers. In only 10 days, approximately 1500 entries were received from all over West Bengal, thus over achieving our target by 300%. These entries were further streamlined to arrive at 23 Finalists. Winners were selected in a grand finale in Kolkata at Rotary Sadan. To judge the talented performers we had industry giants in the form of Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumder and popular singer Anindya Chatterjee.
Through this exercise we have succeeded in adding wings to the dreams of those who live to entertain through their musical talents. We are humbled by the love and support extended by all those involved in this event.
